My Ideal Client

My clients often come to therapy looking for a way to experience this thing we call life differently. I work with teenagers through adulthood. I also work with parents, often those of teenagers. I do work with folks struggling with active addiction and/or in recovery.

My Approach to Helping

I believe building a strong relationship with my clients is the vessel in which quality therapeutic work comes from. I will be unconditionally compassionate, empathetic, caring and nonjudgmental. I want to create a space in which I can help guide you on your path to further healing and growth.

My Approach to Helping

What you and I identify as your goals for therapy will guide me in how I approach therapy with you. That might include, but is not limited to: identifying your default thinking patterns, redesigning any patterns that are causing issues, and connecting said thought patterns to emotions, behaviors, and everything in between. Also, identifying and highlighting strengths, empowering you, helping build new narratives (about you, the world, family, etc), come up with real solutions with you, coach you on taking that next step (whatever that may be), or create and support you in implementing effective plans. Healing does not look the same for everyone. Some folks want to be able to get out of bed in the morning and make it to work on time without forgetting their lunch. Other folks want to be able to go to a grocery store without having a panic attack. And some people just want to live to see tomorrow. How you heal and what that process it looks like will not look the same for everyone
