My Approach to Helping

Ecotherapy is the practice of welcoming nature into the session, and the ways we can do so are endless. Ecotherapists are grounded in the fact that people are inherently inseparable from the natural world, and seek to facilitate and uplift the many ways nature nurtures our bodies and minds. This can look like: processing climate grief in my office, managing anxiety through developing your relationship with your garden, improving symptoms of stress/burnout through nature-based mindfulness, or taking a walk together outside. Together, we can decide what ecotherapy means in your healing. In addition to ecotherapy, I practice as a Level I Certified AEDP counselor with adults and teens, with a focus on improving relationships and healing relational and attachment wounding. My practice with children is highly informed by Child-Centered Play Therapy and interpersonal neurobiology. I often utilize somatic, mindfulness, and other experiential methods with all ages.
