My Ideal Client

My two specialty areas include perinatal mental health and young adults 18-26 years old. I am a certified perinatal mental health specialist offering support across the perinatal phase including pregnancy, postpartum anxiety and depression. I also offer services to clients struggling with parenting and issues in their primary/family relationship. I have 10+ years of experience working with young adults around anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity, and relationships/family challenges.

My Approach to Helping

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, curious, relational and compassionate. I create a non judgmental space for you to explore challenging issues, strengthen inner resources, and learn new skills for moving forward. Through our discussions and evidence-based therapy methods, we will work together to understand your emotions/thoughts, make decisions aligned with your values, and live a more satisfying life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

A central part of my work is holding an anti-oppression framework and examining oppressive social structures including racism, classism, sexism, ableism, heterosexism. This could look like naming micro aggressions in the workplace, internalized capitalism and how it may cause you to label yourself in particular ways. Intersectionality is a core value personal and professional value, understanding how the world perceives and interacts with you and the impact this has.
