My Ideal Client

Do you find yourself prioritizing others' needs while struggling to make space for your own? Are stress and overwhelm taking a toll on you? If you're ready to explore, heal, and grow, know that seeking support is a courageous step toward change. I specialize in working long-term with clients who value a strong therapeutic relationship—one that offers support through both challenges and successes. Together, in a safe and compassionate space, we’ll navigate obstacles as a collaborative team.

My Background and Approach

I currently offer individual counseling and am not accepting new couples or family clients at this time. My approach is rooted in Social Justice, Feminist, and Humanistic perspectives, allowing me to tailor our work to your unique needs. I provide trauma-informed care to help you build resilience and harness your strengths. Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, or simply need a supportive space, we’ll work together to find your path forward. I am especially passionate about supporting queer and BIPOC communities and remain dedicated to ongoing learning to provide the most inclusive and affirming care possible. My practice is anti-oppressive and culturally humble, ensuring you feel seen, heard, and respected.

My Values as a Therapist

As your therapist, I honor the uniqueness of your journey. My approach is authentic and engaged, creating a welcoming, non-judgmental space where you feel truly seen and heard. Therapy is a collaborative process, and your insights shape our work together. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges, I’m here to support you. Let’s explore what works best for you and prioritize your well-being.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Eclectic External link

I believe in the power of authentic and collaborative relationships as the foundation to provide trauma-informed care that recognizes the impact of past experiences on your present well-being. I champion social-justice orientations with feminist, anti-oppressive, and humanistic values. Our therapeutic work will focus on building resilience, empowering you to heal, and tapping into your inherent strengths using a variety of interventions that suit your evolving needs.

  • Art Therapy External link

Though many therapists will say they use "art therapy" in their treatment, it takes specialized training to call oneself an Art Therapist and register with the ATCB. This distinction identifies me as uniquely qualified to use art making and creative interventions with advanced knowledge of the creative process, evidence based interventions, and honor for your expressive voice in your journey to self discovery and growth. Master's Degree in Art Therapy, GWU 2010 ATR #22-230

  • EMDR External link

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) techniques, which allows me to provide basic EMDR services for phobias, self discovery, and trauma work via telehealth services.

  • Humanistic  External link

Blending many treatment orientations (ie Social Justice, Feminist, and Humanistic frameworks), I am an eclectic therapist who uses a variety of interventions to build a personalized plan that suits your needs. I provide trauma-informed care to help you build resilience and leverage your strengths.
