My Ideal Client

Transformation can be messy, intimidating, confusing, and even scary. It can also be exciting and beautiful. I will support you through this journey to find healing and access to the kind of life you want to live. I see my role as a facilitator, guide, and collaborator with you on your path to inner wisdom and self-discovery. I value building a strong therapeutic relationship from which we can explore that which no longer serves your well-being and develop skills and insights that do.

My Approach to Helping

As a student of mindfulness and transpersonal studies, the modalities I offer support you to become more aware of thoughts and behaviors through such practices as mindful attunement, breathwork, and meditation techniques. I welcome spirituality of all kinds. As a former environmental educator, I also deeply believe in the restorative powers of nature. My background, experience, and values weave together into a therapeutic approach that is embodied, curious, and creative. If this resonates with you, please reach out to set up a consultation.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In my spare time, you can find me exploring Oregon’s backcountry with my dog Sitka, reading a book by the creek, seeing live music, or slowly drinking a good cup of coffee, preferably in the mountains.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Coaching External link

I am a certified coach with experience working with clients ranging from students to executives. My coaching work is strengths-based and action-oriented, focused on behavior change that aligns with values, motivation, inner wisdom, and actualization.

  • EcoTherapy External link

I fuse the foundations of therapy with the experience of being in a relationship with the natural world. Experiences in and with nature offer opportunities for perspective, confidence, resilience, and compassion.

  • Mindfulness-based External link

I am a mindfulness-based counselor using modalities that help clients become more aware of thoughts and behaviors through mindful attunement, breath work, somatic practices, and meditation techniques.

  • Transpersonal External link

As a student of trans-personal counseling, my work is grounded in the understanding that the human psyche is not limited to one state of consciousness. In our therapeutic work, there is space for making meaning of our thoughts, behaviors, and experiences through that which transcends the individual, such as spirituality, dreams, mysticism, and more.
