My Ideal Client

I work with individuals in life transition, therapists and healers, people struggling with fertility & trying to conceive, pregnant people, new parents, LGBTQ+ Community, Individuals experiencing depression and/or anxiety, grief & loss, those wanting to explore intergenerational patterns & traumas, complex trauma and/or PTSD, chronic pain and/or illness, those seeking integration of spiritual, ceremonial, & psychedelic experiences.

My Approach to Helping

In your therapy, we will explore the language of your body to gain insight into parts of yourself previously kept in your subconscious or experienced through tension or pain. The goal of our work is for you to become an expert of your own nervous system, and build a foundation of ease within your body. The pace at which I integrate somatic techniques into your therapy is based on your level of comfort and familiarity with being in your body, and as trust and safety is established between us. I use trauma-informed somatic techniques, which primarily draw from Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Yoga Therapy, EMDR, and Experiential Movement.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I humbly and continually strive to ground my practice in an anti-oppression/pro-liberation lens and work from feminist, queer, and consent theories. My work in the mental health field has taught me that trauma shows up in many forms, and that each of us has an incredible capacity for healing and an innate drive towards meaning and wholeness. I recognize that ancestral trauma, and/or the impacts of systems of oppression on our bodies and nervous systems are an essential part of therapy. I strive to hold myself and individuals with privileged identities accountable to the work of dismantling oppressive patterns, and to support individuals with marginalized identities in their work of healing. I recognize that working with intersectionality is vital so that healing can happen on individual and collective levels.
