My Approach to Helping

My style is non-judgmental and honoring of both individuality and cultural diversity. I take into consideration that we each have a unique story and path that has led us to where we are today. I maintain a strong belief in my client's inherent ability to move toward growth as we work collaboratively towards their goals. My therapeutic approach is integrative, as I adapt techniques from various evidence-based treatment methods including but not limited to: Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Sessions can be held in Spanish and English.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I hold a Master of Social Work from Portland State University. I have completed Level 1 Clinical Training of Gottman Method Couples Therapy and hold an Addictions therapy certification from PSU. Prior to private practice I worked as a therapist in a community based setting for over 5 years. I am trained and experienced in areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, life transitions, and relationships. Sliding scale fees are also available.
