My Ideal Client

I work well with clients who are interested in mindful self-reflection that includes turning inwards, relating to energetic, emotional and somatic states with consciousness, and in interest in nervous system regulation. Mindfulness reduces mental noise, creates clarity of heart and thought, and supports skillful choices, and a life that contains more preferred experiences. I use an eclectic and creative approach, that includes eastern philosophy at times, including Taoism.

My Approach to Helping

I am trained in the Hakomi method, as well as in energetic movement in the body as understood through east asian medicine. I utilize an attachment and trauma-informed lens. A deep respect for the intelligence of nature is woven into my work. I offer Mindful Compassionate Dialogue skills, and offer space and support for psychedelic integration. I believe in equity, diversity, fairness, justice, respect, and teaching history that includes references to racism, sexism, gender and sexual preference discrimination, and education that aims to establish a more just and compassionate society. You are welcome here.

My Values as a Therapist

My values as a therapist include supporting your agency, including respecting your body's pace in healing. I bring and encourage authenticity, not at the expense of respect or safety. I value consistency and stability of care, and a commitment to your wellbeing. I am dedicated to the work of mindful somatic therapy - as it shifts our state, and shifts the story - this allows us to make different decisions that can change a life. I hope you'll discover a greater sense of ease through our work.

  • Contemplative External link

Although I use many styles of therapy (Rogerian, Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment), I often use mindfulness and contemplation, focused on somatics, to support clients in creating greater self awareness, acceptance, and pathways to change. Mindfulness is a non-ordinary state of consciousness in which we decrease stress, and increase potentials and possibilities to create new and lasting neural networks and access to our intuitive wisdom.
