My Ideal Client

It’s easy to get stuck in negative patterns of behavior, even with those we hold closest. This does not mean we’re broken; it means we’re human. You may be wondering if you need therapy, or if you even want therapy. I invite you to bring the apprehension, the hurt, the anger, and any other feelings you’re holding onto into the session. If you're looking for a therapist who will support and challenge you with grace and humor, feel free to reach out for a consultation!

My Approach to Helping

I believe we already possess the tools we need for healing and growth. My role as a therapist is to help you uncover those tools, encourage healthier attachments, and guide you as you create new pathways toward connection and fulfillment. My therapeutic approach relies primarily on Emotionally-Focused/Attachment Therapy (EFT) principles as well as elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This means I tend to draw on the ways past experiences and relationships with others have shaped who we are today, and work to uncover your emotions that are hidden beneath patterns of behavior. Together we will blaze new trails that lead to increased connection and greater life satisfaction. I am happy to work with individuals and couples from all walks of life, and strive to make my office an affirming environment for all. I take particular interest in working with teens, new parents, women's issues, families, and couples facing life transitions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

If I were to describe my therapeutic values in one word it would be 'balance.' Healing happens when we are able to hold acceptance and change, self-compassion and accountability, vulnerability and strength—making room for the full range of the human experience. Self exploration means getting comfortable with the uncomfortable. Struggling is a natural part of being human. Therapy isn't about "fixing" all of life's pain, but instead gives us a chance to grow around pain, understand our emotional experiences, and become who we want to be even in times of turmoil. I believe each client is a collection of their history, shaped by the imperfect world we navigate. I listen with curiosity and care, honoring how identities like race, gender, and sexuality impact lived experience. I want clients to leave my office feeling like their full, authentic self is seen and supported.
