My Ideal Client

Are you ready to process thoughts and feelings that interfere with your desire to live a value driven life? Are you ready to explore the possibility of learning to love and accept yourself while making changes that you yearn for? If this sounds like a project you are interested in, curious about or ready to engage in I am here to help you get started. It is my belief that people have the ability to work through their problems when given the right tools, support and encouragement to do so.

My Approach to Helping

My treatment approach draws from the theoretical framework of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). This therapy focuses on pursuing a meaningful life through value driven behaviors and reducing the struggle brought on by problematic thoughts, feelings and behaviors in our lives. It is a highly effective intervention for treating depression, anxiety, chronic pain and other distressing conditions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have an MA from Lewis and Clark college in Counseling Psychology and am Licensed by the Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I have worked in community mental health since 2000 and have been in private practice mental health counseling since 2013. While I specialize in treating depression, anxiety and low self worth, I am also skilled and experienced in treating other mental health conditions that cause concern: Borderline Personality Disorder, existential issues, major life transitions, grief, loss and shame. I work primarily with populations over the age 17.
