My Ideal Client

I work with children, teens and adults who are struggling with issues like: anxiety, depression, divorce, grief, behavioral concerns, bullying, ADHD, trauma, self-harm, suicide, abuse, etc.

My Approach to Helping

We'll work together to create a counseling process that meets your needs and provides safe, relationally engaging and reparative experiences. You are the expert on your life and we will utilize your strengths as well as the collaborative relationship between client and counselor to get you where you want to go. I work from a person-centered and experiential approach with special training in Child Centered Play Therapy and integrate techniques from attachment science, interpersonal neurobiology and sandtray therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As people are provided an environment and therapeutic relationship characterized by safety, acceptance, and therefore freedom to explore self, they are empowered to build a healthy self-concept, personal responsibility, self-direction, self-acceptance, decision-making skills, sense of control, self-reliance, coping awareness and skills, internal source of evaluation, trust of self and resiliency.
