My Ideal Client

I work with adults with most anxiety-related problems, OCD (including Pure “O” and relationship OCD), trichotillomania, skin picking, panic, and health anxiety.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed psychologist and Director of the Portland Psychotherapy Anxiety Clinic, specializing in evidence‐based treatments for anxiety, stress, and worry. My clinical work focuses on conditions such as OCD (including Pure “O” and relationship OCD), repetitive hair pulling, skin picking, trauma/PTSD, panic, and health anxiety. I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for its flexibility and scientific rigor, frequently incorporating exposure therapy to help clients approach challenges. I tailor each session to your unique goals, teaching practical skills that foster meaningful change. Typically, treatment lasts between 10 and 30 sessions—enough time to see tangible results while ensuring you feel that every session is a valuable investment in your well-being.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that therapy works best when it’s a collaborative, structured process that respects your time and your unique journey. I’m committed to helping you build a life that aligns with your values by focusing on skill-building and actionable change. I value a transparent, goal-oriented approach where you are an active participant in your healing. Outside the therapy room, I engage in ongoing research, clinical training, and professional collaboration to continually refine my methods. My passion lies in empowering clients to transform barriers into stepping stones for a more meaningful, connected, and vibrant life.
