My Ideal Client

You might feel stuck in a relentless cycle of overworking, overachieving, and people-pleasing, all while ignoring your own needs. You’ve perfected the “I’m fine” mask so well it’s hard to recognize yourself underneath it. You’re tired of numbing the pain with overwork, perfectionism, or substances, and you’re ready for a change. If this resonates, you’re in the right place.

My Approach to Helping

I am passionate about helping people like you untangle the deeper roots of what’s holding them back. I have specialized training in addiction therapy, which gave me a strong foundation for working with complex challenges like trauma, perfectionism, shame, and burnout. I get that life can feel heavy, and that showing up for yourself isn’t always easy, but I want you to know you don’t have to do it alone. In our work together, we’ll explore the patterns and beliefs that have kept you stuck with curiosity and compassion, not judgment. I use evidence-based tools like CBT, Flash, and Motivational Interviewing to help you heal at a pace that feels manageable and right for you. My approach is about meeting you where you are, creating a safe space to dig deep, and walking with you as you build a life that feels lighter, more connected, and authentically yours.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Before I was a therapist, I was a client. I was “put together” on the outside, but on the inside, I was carrying a weight I couldn’t shake. It wasn’t until I realized without healing, nothing was going to change. My experience with healing inspired me to pursue therapy as a career. Now as a therapist, I strive to help adults process the complexities that have brought disconnection from their true selves. I believe life isn’t just about surviving; it’s about learning to truly live—even when it feels impossible. In today’s world, it’s easy to forget that at our core, we’re all just human—flawed, messy, and beautifully unique. I created Mensch Therapy as a space where you can show up as your whole, imperfect self and explore without judgment. Here, your humanity is seen and respected. The work we do is grounded in evidence-based care, delivered in a way that’s real, engaging, and focused on your strengths.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Adjustment Disorder External link

I use Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients with adjustment disorder by focusing on your strengths and future goals, rather than getting stuck in the past. We’ll work together to identify what’s already working in your life and build on that, so you can take small, actionable steps toward feeling better. SFT is about empowering you to tap into your resilience, set realistic goals, and gain confidence in handling life’s changes.

  • Drug Dependence / Abuse / Addiction External link

Addiction isn’t about willpower—it’s about pain and unmet needs. With Motivational Interviewing, we’ll explore the part of you that wants change and the part that feels stuck. I’ll help you uncover your reasons for holding on and your reasons for letting go without judgment or pressure. It’s not about me telling you what to do; it’s about us working together to find what feels right for you. You already have the answers—I’m just here to help you trust yourself enough to hear them.

  • Self-Esteem External link

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you address the negative thought patterns that contribute to low self-esteem and burnout. By identifying and challenging these thoughts, we can reframe them in a healthier way, allowing you to see yourself and your situation more realistically. CBT helps break the cycle of perfectionism, self-criticism, and stress, ultimately empowering you to set better boundaries, prioritize self-care, and build more balanced, fulfilling routines.

  • PTSD External link

I use CBT and Flash Therapy to help you work through PTSD in a way that feels safe and manageable. With CBT, we’ll explore and challenge the unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that keep you stuck while building healthier ways to cope. Flash Therapy allows us to gently process traumatic memories without overwhelming you, offering relief and emotional healing. Together, these tools create a supportive path to help you move forward and reclaim your life.
