My Ideal Client

I am eager to work with people who are ready to dig into their experiences, raise awareness of their processes, and heal past and current wounds. My hope is to offer a therapeutic relationship that builds your self supports and bridges environmental supports to communities you are a part of or building. With internal and external supports, wounds can be mended that interrupt you from meeting your needs and seeing the growth you desire.

My Approach to Helping

As a therapist, I seek to braid together authenticity, care, and directness. I draw from theories of Gestalt therapy, Somatic practices, and Process Work. I value these experiential models of therapy that increase awareness of your conscious and unconscious processes through experiments, movement, dreamwork, and visualizations. My goal is to provide stability and challenge for clients to understand new perspectives of their creative adaptations and explore ways they make meaning of their world. I have a steady, precise, firm yet gentle presence in therapy that provides as much support as necessary, and as little as needed , to support you to find your own way. I welcome the differences that exist between each of us, and utilize them to therapeutically support you to sharpen your awareness and restore your agency and choice. You and I can explore your experiences, understand the ways you make meaning, and experiment with changes you seek to meet your needs and mend past harms.

My Values as a Therapist

As a therapist there are many values and frameworks that inform how I show up both inside and outside of the therapeutic relationship. In therapy I seek to center authenticity, care, directness, awareness, difference, and nuance. I aim to provide as much support as necessary, and as little as needed, to support you to find your own way. One way this is brought into the therapeutic relationship is by honoring the difference that exist between us as individuals. I believe difference is a point of connection and not a threat. I believe it's important to raise awareness to understand how we move to meet our needs and the ways we can get in our own way. I believe that awareness leads to choice, and choice leads you to the change you seek.
