My Background

I've served families, students and staff as a school counselor for the past 11 years in primary and middle school settings developing inclusive practices where all students attend their home school and learn in general education classrooms, collaborating with internal and external specialists to ensure every student fully accesses their education in order to unleash their genius. I'm pursuing my professional counselor license to deepen my work with families, helping them find more peace and balance at home, as well as navigating the school setting to ensure they have the resources and support they need for their student(s) to thrive. I've earned many certificates and highlights include Play, Nature and Art Therapy; Trauma-Informed Practices; Crisis Prevention and Care; YogaCalm; and Collaborative Problem Solving. My dream is to create a healing focused rescue farm for families that have experienced trauma.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Humans are designed with a space within us that yearns to connect with our creator, and this need is filled in different ways - something I honor with my clients. Faith and community are my greatest strengths, and I’ve explored and grown them in many ways through the years. I love nature and how we are interconnected, as we can't be whole without this understanding and interaction. I have a heart and passion for rescue animals, as helping them heal is such a special process that has shown me the power of love, understanding and patience.
