My Ideal Client

Are you always wondering why things just do not feel right? Because of obstacles such as anxiety, anger, grief or troubling emotions or past issues. Do you always fall into patterns and routines that are unproductive and cause distress? Perhaps I can help. It can be frustrating to be stuck in a maladaptive pattern. I believe you can be free with meaningful help. A holistic therapeutic approach coupled with evidence based practices can help you tremendously and I can't wait to be your guide.

How I Can Help You

Oftentimes, we lack awareness of how our thinking patterns affect our behavior, so I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to locate and change faulty assumptions that keep us from growth. CBT is an evidence-based treatment plan that is backed by science and research data. In addition, I believe that you are more than just an individual, but an integral part of society and the universe. I therefore makes use of Adlerian psychodynamic therapy. This treatment strategy is holistic and addresses all dimensions of the self. This includes social, occupational, physical, emotional and also spiritual. A strength-based approach which is mindful towards ethnic and cultural issues and concerns.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My mantra is that as a strong ally and observer of your life, it is my duty to guide you through your struggles towards resolution. While the journey may not be easy, we can learn to find joy in the climb. I immigrated from Nigeria at a young age. Young enough to know my culture and language and fresh enough to grasp the culture of the United States. I understand and relate to the struggles of minorities and immigrants. My experiences as an immigrant and minority has led to a calling in Psychology. I believe spirituality is valuable for those who seek it in all its form. I am a Christian and welcome all religious practices.
