My Ideal Client

I specialize in trauma-informed practices and work with a diverse range of individuals & couples—folks struggling with anxiety or depression; those wanting to tend to intimate & social relationships; individuals wrestling with identity, alignment of values, or career-oriented concerns; and people who are working through grief and life transitions. With my own background in the arts, I also work closely with people who identify as artists seeking support in that aspect of their lives.

My Approach to Helping

My work is shaped by my belief in the power of personal narratives and the capacity to reclaim and reshape one's story, fostering new skills, resilience, and a greater quality of life. I view counseling as a collaborative process and am dedicated to supporting and empowering clients on their path towards healing and growth. When working with clients, I take a person-centered and strengths-based approach, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-CBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Attachment Theory. I like to incorporate mindfulness strategies and creative-based approaches, and while I am not yet certified, I am pursuing training and certification in EMDR.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Prior to pursuing my career as a counselor, I spent the last fifteen years working professionally in Theater and Film as producer, actor, and casting director. It was my own meaningful experiences over many years as as a client myself, commitment to repair and self actualization, and deep curiosity and compassion for the human experience that inspired my pivot to counseling. Creative expression and the arts are still a central part of my life, and I aim to continue integrating these passions into my therapeutic work in the future. Outside of my work as a counselor and my creative pursuits, I enjoy traveling, writing, running (slowly!), and spending time (especially in nature) with my partner and pup.
