My Ideal Client

Life can be scary. Sometimes we get overwhelmed and let our fears dictate what we can and cannot do. In my practice, I see many clients who want their life back. One key to conquering our irrational fears is to avoid avoidance. Together we will find out what that means in your specific case and what your goals are. With hypnosis, it is possible to speed up the process of responding more appropriately to previously dreaded situations. We will help you experience yourself in control and confident.

My Background

As a hypnotherapist with over 600 hours of training and Somatic Experiencing ® Practitioner (SEP), I understand the importance of a multimodal approach to treatment. While traditional talk therapy can be helpful, I believe that true and lasting change often requires engaging the body and subconscious mind.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe unhelpful patterns are a result of a survival/adaptive response that has become obsolete. Reconnecting with our body and small gradual changes steps are the keys to changing our nervous system's response.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Hypnotherapy External link

Hypnotherapy is a recommended treatment for IBS, particularly when brain-body communication contributes to symptoms. It can also be highly effective for other physical ailments, such as chronic lower back pain and fibromyalgia, which often share similar underlying mechanisms of stress, tension, and nervous system dysregulation. By addressing the mind-body connection, hypnotherapy helps reduce hypervigilance, anxiety, and physical symptoms, promotes relaxation, and enhances overall well-being.

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-focused therapeutic approach designed to help individuals process and release trauma stored in the nervous system. By gently guiding awareness to physical sensations, SE supports the completion of natural survival responses that may have been interrupted during traumatic events. This process helps restore balance, reduce symptoms of trauma, and build resilience, fostering a sense of safety and connection in both body and mind.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Insomnia External link

Sleep difficulties can manifest in various forms, including difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early. It’s crucial to rule out sleep apnea as a potential cause. Often sleep problems do arise when we are stuck in high energy levels of fight or flight. As a result, our ability to transition into resting states is blocked. Through hypnosis, mindfulness, and Somatic Experiencing, you can learn to navigate the natural waves of activation your body goes through.

  • Anxiety External link

Are anxiety and its symptoms holding you back? Anxiety can show up as constant worry, tension, or physical issues like IBS, and it’s often linked to fears or phobias that feel hard to overcome. You don’t have to manage it alone. Through hypnotherapy and gentle, proven techniques, I can help you calm your mind, ease your body, and break the cycle of anxiety. Together, we’ll address the root causes, reduce symptoms, and help you feel more in control, confident, and at ease in your daily life.

  • Chronic Pain or Illness External link

Living with chronic pain or illness can be exhausting, especially when health concerns and unhelpful beliefs heighten your awareness of discomfort. These patterns can create a cycle that feels hard to escape. Through hypnotherapy, I can help you gently shift these beliefs, reduce tension, and reframe your relationship with your body. Together, we’ll work to ease your symptoms, calm your mind, and help you feel more at ease and in control of your well-being.
