My Ideal Client

Perhaps you are feeling stuck in parts of your life. You may be aware of frustrating behavioral and relational patterns, but unsure how to change them. Your mood and self esteem may be affected. Or you may be experiencing a major transition or significant loss. I also work with individuals struggling with anxiety and chronic worry, relationship issues, as well as those who have experienced trauma. Psychotherapy is an opportunity to deal with issues in a way that cannot be done alone.

My Approach to Helping

Contemporary psychoanalysis informs my approach. I provide a space for us to make meaning out of what you bring to the session. For my part, I listen closely to what you say and to what you might not say, and may not yet know. I'm interested in what you already know about yourself and in helping you learn more. Our relationship, the therapeutic relationship, can be both an instrument for greater awareness and a new relational experience.
