Licensed Professional Counselor

MA, LPC

I hold the belief that everybody is doing the best that they can, with the resources they have available. Sometimes, we need a little extra support through the journey of life. Having that support in identifying what is working and what is not can help us live a more fulfilling and passionate life.

I am currently accepting new clients through tele-therapy. During these uncertain times many of us are struggling in ways that we might not have in the past, or with things that were going well and are now struggling with. I am here to support you during these challenging times and have immediate availability. I come from a Humanistic and strengths-based approach in session, and believe that collaboration and trust are the foundations in a therapeutic relationship. I also pull from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), so that collaboratively we can identify specific skills and techniques that work for you. I work with adolescents and adults offering support and expertise with treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, compulsive exercise, depression, self-esteem/self-worth, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth. I also offer parent coaching and meal time support for clients and their families.

I hold a Master's Degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling, from Lewis and Clark College. I had the privilege of working at Monte Nido's residential eating disorder facility for adolescent females, Clementine Portland. There I spent over 3 years as an individual, family, and group therapist supporting teens and their families as they moved through the recovery process. I was able to work with a wide variety of diagnosis and eating disorder symptoms and develop proficiency and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders. I also gained experience and knowledge in skills building and parent coaching. I frequently attend professional trainings stay up to date on best practices and enhance the services I am able to offer to my clients. I am passionate about creating a safe place for all people regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, race, age, size, religion or abilities.
