My Approach to Helping

I utilize an integrative model drawing from components in Mindful Self-Compassion, Person-Centered therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I tend to work through an attachment lens and often utilize somatic interventions and 'parts' work. I support Harm Reduction practices where it is the appropriate fit for the client. As a dual-diagnosis counselor I am skilled in providing an effective healing space for those affected by mental health concerns, addiction, and trauma and am proficient in working with health care professionals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My background and training as a dancer has guided my intrigue in the connection of the mind and body, particularly how we experience, store and express memories & emotions in the body. Through our work together we will explore this phenomenon and increase your awareness of bodily communications and how to utilize them to support your holistic well-being. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I also hold a Certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling (CADC I) through the Addiction Counselor Certification Board of Oregon. I graduated from Lewis & Clark’s Professional Mental Health and Addiction’s Masters program and have been working in a variety of different settings ranging from residential to private practice since.
