My Ideal Client

I work with clients on a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief/loss, and spirituality. I also have specialized training and experience working with trauma. With trauma treatment, my goal is to walk alongside you through healing. I am trained in EMDR and also use mindfulness, grounding, and cognitive techniques.

How I Can Help You

I believe the way we think often informs how we feel and behave. Together we can work on confronting harmful and distorted thought patterns in order to develop healthier and more hopeful views of life and the future. This can involve acknowledging past hurts and trauma, learning new ways to cope with anxiety or depression, practicing self-acceptance, developing and maintaining self-care habits, learning mindfulness exercises, and so much more. The counselor/client relationship is also an important piece of healing. I would like to partner with you in your journey and healing process. Wherever you are in that journey, I look forward to meeting you.

Why I Became a Therapist

I have always been drawn to "helping" fields of work but a big part of why I have chosen to pursue a career in counseling has been my own experience as a client. I learned skills that have helped to change some of my perspectives and enhance my life. The personal growth and healing I experienced through the therapeutic relationship are things I will always carry with me. I hope that I can help others in a similar manner.
