My Ideal Client

My clients are interested in exploring their early experiences with intimacy and love to foster more presence, awareness, and honesty in their relationships today. Whether you are wanting to work on your relationship with yourself or your partner(s), I offer you space to get real. My clients are willing to engage in mindfulness in session and occasionally practice activities outside of session to support them towards achieving their therapeutic goals.

My Background

I hold a Master’s of Arts in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy with a specialization in Sex Therapy from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. I have clinical training in sexual and relational concerns like sexual difficulties, trauma, desire/arousal differences within partnerships, gender and sexuality expression, nonmonogamous and polyamorous relationships, and pain during sex. I completed a year-long internship with M.E.T.A. Counseling Clinic where I received extensive supervision, training in mindfulness, the treatment of trauma, anti-racism in counseling, supporting activists, and early childhood attachment. I worked with individuals and partnerships around a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, communication skills, sex concerns, and trauma processing. At M.E.T.A., I co-facilitated a support group called PolyCurious focused on affirming and exploring the emotional attachment responses nonmonogamy can spur.

My Values as a Therapist

Working from a stance that promotes social justice is integral to my practice. In my mission to be a trauma-conscious provider, I prioritize client consent and safety. I am a kink/BDSM, polyam-, LGBTQIA+ affirming, body-positive, and continually learning anti-racist care provider. I am a white, Queer/Poly human working in Portland, OR (occupied land of the Clackamas and Cowlitz). My experiences in queer and multi-partnered relationships have been both challenging and profoundly healing. I am passionate about working with my community, and celebrate the full spectrum of relationships - from monogamy to relationship anarchy. I help people find resonant relationship practices for their lives centered in equity, consent, and compassion. I currently live in Corvallis (occupied land of the Kalapuya). When I’m not in session, I enjoy connecting with my loved ones, dancing, eating good food, and being in nature.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

Our intimate relationships directly impact our wellbeing. It’s tough to feel centered when we’re feeling disconnected from our loved ones. In my work with partnerships, I emphasize mutuality, equity, and care. I want to ensure all partners are feeling heard - that you're really talking, and really listening. Whether you are seeking deeper intimacy or wanting clarity about where to go next in the relationship, I can support you towards meeting your relational desires.

  • Polyamorous and Open Relationships External link

Whatever the shape of your Consensual Nonmonogamy (CNM), chances are you’ve experienced edges arise as you practice this way of being in relationship. I celebrate radical relationship structures, and understand how complex these ways of loving can be to our attachment systems. CNM calls us into deeper work around our relationship to uncertainty, trust, change, and vulnerability. I can help you through navigating this process with care.

  • Personal Growth External link

Perhaps the feeling of disconnection, loneliness, and self-doubt are familiar to you. Maybe feeling your emotions makes you want to run away or hide. Maybe there's a nagging feeling that you're not enough... Maybe it's just confusing inside. Through exploring and processing your lived experiences in your body, relationships & culture, I can support you towards growing more self-trust, self-compassion, and felt security that can fundamentally change your relationship with yourself and others.
