My Ideal Client

You know yourself best. Maybe you're struggling with feeling overwhelmed by your emotions or feeling "stuck" like something is missing. Maybe you're struggling with your relationship with body and/or gender. Or perhaps you've noticed that old coping skills are no longer working. The world can be overwhelming and navigating transitions doesn't have to happen alone. My job is to ensure that you feel seen and heard while we work together to discover what support you're needing.

My Background and Approach

I utilize a relational approach with a creative flair; each session is catered to fit the needs of the individual. I am passionate about treating disordered eating and eating disorders, supporting people through life transitions and navigating the difficult choices that happen at critical periods of development. My use of art therapy in combination with traditional talk therapy allows clients to connect with themselves, their bodies, thoughts, emotions, and relationships at a deeper level without the limitations of words. Art therapy is accessible to anyone, not just an “artist”, as the purpose behind the art making is the process not the final product.

My Values as a Therapist

I offer deep and personal awareness of LGBTQ+ concerns and hold an anti-oppressive lens. I also work from a Health At Every Size approach and aim towards dismantling diet-culture narratives that are harmful and deeply internalized. We all deserve a safe space to process, explore, and challenge the impact of systemic beliefs while working towards self-acceptance and compassion.

Body Image Issues can come in a variety of forms, whether it be rooted in disordered eating, gender dysphoria, trauma, chronic illness, or self-esteem. I am comfortable and passionate about helping my clients repair their relationship with their body. I worked in a residential facility for eating disorders and have experience supporting recovery from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and ARFID.
