My ideal client is someone who is ready to embrace their journey toward self-discovery and healing. Whether you're navigating the challenges of burnout, depression, self-esteem, anxiety, or working to set boundaries, I'm here to support you. I am especially passionate about working with those who identify as adult children of emotionally immature parents and those that burnout through caregiving. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and body positive.
Specialties
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy offers a compassionate and transformative approach to healing from PTSD. In IFS, we explore the different "parts" of ourselves—those that hold pain, fear, or anger as a result of trauma, and those that protect us from re-experiencing that pain. By gently guiding you to connect with and understand these parts, IFS helps to unburden the wounded parts of your psyche, allowing you to heal from past traumas.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a mindfulness-based approach that helps individuals develop psychological flexibility. Instead of avoiding or fighting uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, ACT encourages acceptance and teaches skills to respond to these experiences in ways that align with personal values.
Specialties
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support individuals navigating grief. With ACT, I help you make space for difficult emotions, honor your loss, and reconnect with what matters most. Using IFS, we explore the different parts of you that may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or in conflict after a loss, fostering compassion and healing within yourself.
In treating anxiety, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you reclaim your life. ACT teaches you to accept anxious thoughts and feelings without letting them control your actions. This approach will help you manage anxiety effectively, allowing you to live more fully in line with your values.
In my work with clients experiencing depression, I focus on a strengths-based approach that emphasizes your inherent resilience and capabilities. Rather than only addressing the symptoms of depression, we explore and build upon the strengths you already possess, helping you reconnect with what gives your life meaning and purpose. By identifying and nurturing these strengths, we work together to create positive changes, boost self-esteem, and foster a greater sense of hope.
