My Ideal Client

You’re seeking a deeper understanding of yourself—craving clarity, connection, and a sense of ease that feels just out of reach. You sense there’s something more beneath the surface, within you or the world around you, but it feels elusive. My clients often share this feeling, and together, we explore the deeper layers of your experience, uncovering insight, healing, and a path toward the fulfillment and peace you deserve.

My Approach to Helping

I’ve spent nearly a decade in mental health and social work, starting in child and family services before shifting to adult outpatient therapy. My approach is rooted in Internal Family Systems and I am able to offer EMDR for trauma and DBT skills and existentialism in our time together, but my greatest strength is seeing you—fully and without judgment. I meet you where you are and help you find a way forward that feels both achievable and meaningful. Therapy with me is a balance of directness, empathy, and collaboration, creating a space where real change can happen while you feel deeply supported. My lived and professional experience shape my work, allowing me to offer insight, practical tools, and a therapeutic relationship built on trust. Together, we’ll navigate what’s holding you back and build a path toward healing that actually works for you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a queer identified, non-binary therapist. Many of the clients I serve hold identities in the LGBTQ+ rainbow. I use a trauma-informed lens to approach the work I do and have extensive clinical experience working with individuals at any point in their journey. My background as a social worker and therapist also includes working with individuals who experience suicidal thoughts, self-harm and who have complex trauma histories. I believe that healing and change are possible for all people. I am sex-positive therapist as well and believe that finding pleasure (not just sexual) in all areas of life is possible and deeply important for lasting change and healing to take place. The lenses I use most frequently in therapy include: integration, trauma-informed care, existentialism, cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and positive psychology.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • EMDR External link

I just received certification in EMDR and am excited to be able to offer this technique to my therapy tool set. The EMDR technique I learned is called FLASH, and it's a much gentler way of treating trauma triggers than traditional EMDR, while still being evidenced based and in line with EMDR.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) External link

I frequently use Internal Family Systems (IFS) in my work with clients. By helping clients better understand the different parts of themselves and how these parts are sometimes negatively impacting their day to day lives. Often our parts are developed in child hood to 'protect' us, however, as we grow up, the types of protection these parts offer, become hindrances and hurtful to ourselves. Identifying these parts, showing love and compassion to them and then giving them a better 'job' is key.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Anxiety External link

Since starting in social work in 2013 I have worked with countless people with mild to severe anxiety. Anxiety often stems from deeply held, negative, subconscious beliefs we have about ourselves and from traumatic or challenging experiences in our past. From excessive worry, restlessness, trouble with leaving the house and being social, to difficulty stopping fearful and negative thinking; I have had the privilege to witness and support people on their journey towards peace and healing.

  • LGBTQ Issues External link

As a queer identified therapist I have the privilege of understanding the perspectives of my clients as it relates to gender identity, sexual orientation and gender expression. Religious trauma, family trauma and rejection are common challenges queer individuals face at all walks of life. I have helped people understand their gender identity more, grow beyond childhood wounds of rejection and abandonment and explore new sexual identities.
