My Ideal Client

Most of my clients work with me on adjusting to some wild thing life just threw at them, and/or healing some combination of depression, addiction, trauma, or anxiety. As I am also a musician, I often find myself working with artists or other creative types, or people who are drawn to that style of thinking. Some people come to me seeking clarification on whether they may be autistic or have ADHD. Some already know and want emotional support dealing with a neurotypical-oriented world.

How I Can Help You

I work with a variety of issues using equally varied tools, depending on the client's needs, preferences, and proclivities. I also offer comprehensive neurodivergence-affirming autism and ADHD evaluations for adults. I draw from several research-backed approaches such as parts work, CBT and DBT, and motivational interviewing (a respectful, supportive, autonomy-forward approach for addictions). I specialize in working with people facing multiple diagnoses concurrently such as addiction and depression or trauma, or autistic folks who need to address mental health needs with a provider who understands how their neurotype may impact them.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Prior to becoming a therapist, I trained as a violinist and opera singer. My development as a musician informs my treatment approach as I see providing therapy as similar to developing facility on an instrument - a development of awareness, skill, self-concept, and self-confidence under whatever the given circumstances. It's a process of strengthening what supports you and weeding out tensions that may be holding you back from giving your fullest natural sound. I take an artistic stance to treatment and enjoy working with other artists frequently. My social locations: I am a white heterosexual cisgender female, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC ally. Sex positive, adamantly gender affirming, and kink & poly friendly. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can connect and have a chance to ask a few questions. Currently accepting all listed insurances, however I can only take OHP CareOregon/HealthShare for evaluations or short-term treatment for now.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Addiction Therapy External link

I work with many people looking to change to their relationship to substances. I provide a nonjudgmental space for you to clarify your goals and support you in reaching them. I can help with abstinence or moderation goals if appropriate for the client, and we can take a look at that together. If you don’t know what you want yet or if you are even ready to make a change, we can talk it through, step by step, and get you where you want to go.

  • Psychological Testing and Evaluation  External link

I provide neurodivergence-affirming adult autism and ADHD evaluations over telehealth. My assessment process is warm and therapeutic, using a combination of qualitative and quantitative measures to create a full picture of your neurotype, and includes a therapeutic feedback session where we discuss results and help you incorporate them into your understanding of yourself.
