Reid Zweifel (she/her)

My Background

Originally from the red rock country of Southern Utah, I completed my undergraduate and medical school training in Salt Lake City. Following medical school, I completed my psychiatry residency at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where I also served as a chief resident. After training in Utah and Oregon, I’ve made Portland my home and now practice privately in the community.

My Approach to Helping

I strive to offer thoughtful, individualized care through both medication management and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I work collaboratively with each person to understand the deeper meaning behind their symptoms, life experiences, and emotional patterns—while also providing evidence-based treatment to support symptom relief and long-term growth. I believe mental health and illness hold different meanings for each individual, and I strive to create a safe, respectful space where those meanings can be explored. My practice is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.
