My Ideal Client

I identify as a queer, neurodivergent, non-binary counselor. Being part of and working with these and other marginalized communities has given me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of folx from diverse backgrounds. I've worked with individuals experiencing struggles from depression, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar, life transitions, grief, ethical non-monogamy, kink, trauma and grief. I'm here to help create a warm environment that fosters trust.

My Approach to Helping

I take an existential-humanistic approach with an anti-racist, social justice and holistic lens which means I see the client being the expert on their own life and I am there alongside them in support of their healing journey. I incorporate an eclectic variety of modalities that is unique to each individual as we work collaboratively in session. Some of these modalities include but not limited to: DBT skills, somatic therapy, harm reduction, creativity and trauma informed. I graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 2024 with a Masters of Art in Professional Mental Health Counseling focusing on Addictions and certifying in Eco-Therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a counselor I strive for a calm, compassionate, empathetic and authentic energy. Life is hard, messy and sometimes even chaotic. I strongly believe that everyone has the capacity within themselves to see hope again when it was once lost. As someone who holds various marginalized identities, I know first hand how challenging it can be to have self compassion, patience with yourself in times of healing and growth, and I also know that it's very possible with persistence, resilience and just continuing to work on personal growth. My interests of focus reside in harm reduction approaches to substance use, incorporating nature into therapy and creative strategies to navigating hard feelings and working with folx who are just transitioning into adulthood to later adulthood. I enjoy leaning into just having raw, authentic dialogue in sessions and feel that with time a strong therapeutic relationship will be made that feels safe.
