I work with people who have feelings of being stuck, want to feel embodied and know themselves more fully, find talk therapy ineffective, and are seeking support to navigate relationships.

How I Can Help You

My training is based in Core Energetics Therapy, a somatic-based therapeutic process that helps identify and release unconscious defenses while connecting with true self. I can help you to follow your energy and consciousness in the present moment with grounded embodiment, positive regard, compassion, patience, and understanding. I can help you to develop objectivity, build distress tolerance skills, and learn how to integrate the work into daily life. A session typically begins with grounding and connecting with the body followed by verbal check-in. Depending on what arises, there could be breath work, physical movement, taking time and space to feel feelings, verbal discussion, guided visualization, or a combination of any of the above. I recommend weekly or biweekly frequency in the beginning with a minimum of three sessions.

    People who land in my office are ready for change and new growth, and understand that they need to be an active participant in order to be successful. By bringing consciousness to limiting beliefs about self and the world as well as behavior patterns, my clients gain agency through broadening their perspective and the empowerment of choice.

  • Codependency External link

    In Core Energetics Therapy we look at something like codependency as a way of "merging" with someone else in order to maintain connection. In doing so, we sacrifice our autonomy, including our own needs, in order to take care of somebody else and secure the attachment.
