My Ideal Client

If you’re a parent and have found yourself feeling overwhelmed or burnt out recently, I see you and you’re not alone! You are working so hard to be the best parents for your kiddos, but everything just seems so stressful! Even if you don't have children and you are experiencing chronic stress from work, relationships, and/or major life transitions, you deserve support to help understand and soothe your nervous system so you can live with more connection, peace, and joy.

My Approach to Helping

I have an M.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and I am a professional counseling associate in supervision with Thomas Doherty, PsyD. I’m also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) as well as a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Oregon Counseling Association (ORCA.) I specialize in a client-centered, relational, walk and talk approach to therapy. This means that when we work together, we do so while walking on a local nature trail. Walk and talk therapy also has the potential to help clients prone to high anxiety or dysregulation feel more relaxed than in a typical clinical setting. Not to mention, that walking in nature just plain feels good because it increases endorphins, decreases stress hormones and blood pressure, decreases depression and anxiety, and promotes focus and self-regulation.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I choose to walk alongside my clients because I believe that it provides a relationally safer and more natural opportunity to build genuine and collaborative relationships with them. Likewise, I believe that change happens when clients have the opportunity to heal and grow within safe, connected, and healthy relationships. When working with me, clients are supported by nature and movement as they process relational patterns, increase self awareness, build awareness of their nervous system states, and they are empowered to tap into their strengths and learn to trust their inner wisdom to build a more resilient, authentic life. When working with me, I utilize my knowledge of interpersonal neurobiology, polyvagal theory, family systems theory, attachment, human development, neurodiversity, and cultural diversity to create safe and neuroaffirming relationships with my clients.
