People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Perhaps you struggle with unwanted behavior patterns or difficulties in your relationships. Maybe you’re challenged by overwhelming emotions or struggle to know what you’re feeling at all. Or maybe you’re having trouble adjusting to new circumstances or making a big decision. These problems in living and many others may respond well to psychotherapy.
Specialties
Ever feel like you don't understand or can't explain your own choices or behavior? Depth therapy looks beneath the surface to explore underlying beliefs, feelings, and unmet needs that drive your daily life. We look at how early experiences & relationships shape the ways you show up today. I help you explore how habituated behaviors and thinking patterns that once served you might be holding you back. Depth therapy is a supported process of self-exploration that can lead to real, lasting growth.
Specialties
My goal is to help you deepen your relationship with yourself. Therapy offers the opportunity to slow down & explore what’s going on beneath surface-level content. I might ask you to pause and notice what’s happening in your body or mind as we talk, or to describe the feelings that comes to you. Bringing awareness to your here-and-now experience in this way is known to promote stress relief, emotional stability, and increase capacity for connection with others.
Grief is a process, not a pathology. Grievers need a space where they're welcome to feel all their feelings without expectations or judgments. I specialize in helping the bereaved to make sense of the often difficult, sometimes overwhelming feelings and thoughts that arise in the wake of loss. I also work with those who support grievers-- partners, extended family members, friends-- to navigate grief stewardship.
