My Approach to Helping

Therapy is more than overcoming struggles or navigating life’s challenges—it’s about connecting with yourself and what truly matters to you. In our work together, I offer a compassionate and collaborative space where you feel heard and empowered. At the same time, we will take a direct approach, aimed at challenging patterns, reframing perspectives, and exploring new ways of being. I use a trauma-informed, person-centered, and holistic approach to this work, acknowledging the deep connection between the mind, body, and spirit. I often use emotional experiencing, thought defusion, acceptance, and mindfulness exercises to support your growth and healing. Inclusion and cultural humility are core values of my practice, where people of all identities and backgrounds are welcomed, can feel safe, and are valued.

My Values as a Therapist

I value an environment grounded in authentic connection, empathy, acceptance, and learning. My practice is rooted in balance, recognizing the importance of addressing both the challenges and strengths that clients bring to the therapeutic process. In therapy, clients are supported to explore their values, navigate life's complexities, and create meaningful change in their lives. I believe in challenging societal norms and promoting body positivity and acceptance for all body types. I am passionate about supporting fat liberation and actively working to deconstruct bias toward fat individuals. My goal is to empower clients to embrace their bodies and cultivate a sense of self-worth that transcends societal expectations.
