My Background and Approach
I have worked in a range of outpatient settings, providing psychotherapy (eg. CBT, DBT, IPT, PDT), medication management, and interventional treatments (eg. KIT, TMS) to adult patients, including treatment resistant cases. Within psychiatry, my passion is psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapy, though I’m also interested in consciousness models, psychedelics, and neuroscience.
I offer both psychodynamic therapy and medication management, though my emphasis is heavily psychotherapeutic in attempts to reduce medication reliance. I practice with an eclectic psychodynamic framework, drawing on a range of theoretical schools (eg. drive, ego, self, object relations theory) and tailoring treatment to the individual needs of the client.
