My Background and Approach
Originally from Canada, my love of nature and the great outdoors recently brought me out to the Pacific Northwest. I have worked in a range of outpatient settings, providing psychotherapy (eg. CBT, DBT, IPT, PDT), medication management, and interventional treatments (eg. KIT, TMS) to adult patients, including treatment resistant cases. Within psychiatry, my passion is psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapy, though I’m also interested in consciousness models, psychedelics, and neuroscience.
I offer both psychodynamic therapy and medication management. I practice with an eclectic psychodynamic framework, drawing on a range of theoretical schools (eg. drive, ego, self, object relations theory) and tailoring treatment to the individual needs of the client. I also incorporate skills based approaches when necessary.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I offer cash pay and superbills for individuals seeking out of network (OON) coverage. I am in the process of credentialing with various insurance companies but can arrange single case agreements for individuals with Moda Health to see me as an in network (INN) provider.
