My Ideal Client

I often work with people who have survived adversity throughout their lives whether it's childhood trauma, mental health, socioeconomic barriers, or societal stressors. I am a relational therapist who looks to create a relationship with my clients of safety and dignity. My clients tell me that they feel seen and heard by me and our collaborative work is meant to provide empowerment and choice. I am skilled at providing support around Autism, ADHD, OCD, sensory sensitivity, depression and C-PTSD.

My Approach to Helping

Are you not feeling seen or heard? Have you been coping the best that you can with depression, anxiety or trauma symptoms, but life is still a struggle? Let me help you on your journey to recovery. There are so many ways to help unique, individual people with their challenges. Each person has different needs and I treat each client with respect, dignity and autonomy. Collaboratively, we can create therapy goals and demystify the process together. I am a client-centered, licensed mental health therapist. I specialize in trauma therapy and working with youth. I have 15 +years experience using various modalities including trauma-informed CBT, DBT, Somatic Experiencing, psychoeducation, and trauma-informed Play and Expressive Arts Therapy. Also, I work with anxiety disorders, OCD and depression. Please take a chance and reach out. I am here to help.

Social Justice Issues I Care About

I am involved in the work of helping others. I am dedicated to continuing my own learning and healing journey and I feel that as a community, we are here to support each other in solidarity. I have worked for the LGBTQ+ community, of which I am a part of, for 30 years in various volunteer capacities. I am a non-binary, queer human with parents who are first-generation American. I am passionate about social justice for BIPOC, and the intersectionality between socioeconomic issues, multi-generational trauma, equal rights for all women, and lack of resources for groups of under represented individuals. I have researched and participated in programs aimed at expanding my knowledge about trauma and how it affects us cognitively, emotionally and somatically. Most importantly, learning how to support others as they seek to heal from and thrive with a trauma history. I specialize in neurodivergent challenges, as well as gaining insight around masking and honoring our unique view of the world.
