My Ideal Client

I’m experienced working with clients who are queer, gender expansive, kinky, non-monogamous, fat/bigger bodied, and BIPOC. I tend to support those who want to address sexual concerns, improve their relationship(s), explore non-monogamy, process racial trauma & racial identity, and/or work through relational trauma. I want to support you in having space to feel the hard emotions, better understand your needs, and build supportive relationships.

My Approach to Helping

I approach therapy holistically & aim to help you connect with your body and emotions so that you can feel more at ease. I will highlight your strengths and inner resources that can help you thrive, while also gently challenging you when you’re stuck in unhelpful patterns. I will work to center your needs, capacity, and feedback so that therapy feels supportive to you. My goal in therapy is to help you access a space of authenticity and connection to yourself, your partner(s), and your communities. I work from an ecosystemic and relational lens; this means that I acknowledge the ways we are in connection with each other and the spaces we occupy, knowing our daily life can be impacted by larger systems such as capitalism and white supremacy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I felt inspired to do this work because of my lived experience. I identify as a bi-racial (Mexican American), second generation, Latinx, queer, gender fluid, kinky person who currently exists in a mid-size body. While these identities are a just fraction of who I am, it’s important to me to share them because they have shaped how I navigate the world. As a person with intersectional identities, I have experienced having to hide parts of myself in order to survive. I have also been in spaces with people who embraced me and made me feel cared for, loved, and able to be true to my authentic self. Because of these experiences, I approach therapy as a way to meet people where they are in their lives and work together collaboratively, so people can live as their most authentic selves. Life can bring us uncertainty and challenges; as a therapist, I believe people deserve to express themselves and be heard in an open, curious, and non-judgmental space.
