My Ideal Client

Life can be full of stress, grief, and suffering, and as human beings, it can be challenging for us to navigate through all of the negative thoughts, emotions, and experiences that we encounter. Coming from a Humanistic and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy background, my approach to psychotherapy focuses on getting to know you and your unique experience so that we as a team can find better ways for you to live the life that you want to live.

My Background and Approach

I graduated from the Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling with a masters in Professional Mental Health Counseling. I believe that you are the expert of your own experience and I hope to create a space where you can authentically express yourself in a safe environment that is free of judgment.

My Approach to Helping

As a counselor, I am here not to give advice or to tell you what you should be doing, but to provide new insights and frameworks to assist you during our work together. Through our collaboration, we will work through your concerns and problems and explore possible changes you can implement in your life, while acknowledging your sources of strength and resiliency. During my clinical experience, I have encountered working with issues around anxiety, depression, trauma, men’s issues, and social anxiety. I emphasize the importance of rapport and trust building, and believe that counseling can be effective and beneficial if a strong therapeutic relationship is formed.
