My Background and Approach

Yes, I am accepting clients! Are you in a relationship that isn't what you hoped it would be? Are you trying to recover from the pain of infidelity? Is your child acting out, and do you not know why? Are you anxious or depressed? Do you have trouble saying no to people? These are just a few reasons individuals, couples, and families seek therapy. We all need help sometimes. You've taken the first and most important step by searching for a therapist, which takes courage. My approach is client-centered and strengths-based. I believe that you are the expert of your own story and that, with support and encouragement, you have the power to change your life. I have been married for 45 years and have two grown children and three grandchildren. These life experiences help me understand and empathize with my clients as we work together in therapy.

Why I Became a Therapist

I love people and believe life is a journey of ups and downs. The journey isn't over until we're no longer here. Until then, we have a chance to heal relationships and find peace and happiness. As a mature therapist, I bring empathy and understanding to you in therapy, knowing that you are the expert of your unique story. Many people ask me why I want to become a therapist at this stage in my life. My answer is that I believe it's never too late to live your best life by improving your relationships and learning about yourself. Life isn't easy, but it can get easier. My lifelong desire has been to use my experience and education to help others on their journey.
