My Ideal Client

Does it feel like you and your partner aren't connecting or communicating well? Does your family have conflicts you can't seem to work out, no matter how much you try? Do you feel like you can't enjoy life because of anxiety or depression? Do you feel like no one understands you? Life is complicated, but there is hope, and therapy can make all the difference. I love working collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families to help them get unstuck and live fuller, happier lives.

My Background and Approach

Reaching out for therapy takes courage, and I commend you for prioritizing your health and happiness. If you're struggling with anxiety or depression, there is hope. Couples therapy can make a big difference if you and your partner want to improve communication or heal from past or present hurt. If your family is conflicted, family therapy can be life-changing for all of you. You've taken the first and most important step by searching for a therapist. My approach is client-centered and strengths-based. I believe that you are the expert of your own story and that, with support and encouragement, you have the power to change your life. I have been married for 45 years and have two grown children and three grandchildren. These life experiences help me understand and empathize with my clients as we work together in therapy.

Why I Became a Therapist

I love people and believe life is a journey of ups and downs. The journey isn't over until we're no longer here. Until then, we have a chance to heal relationships and find peace and happiness. As a mature therapist, I bring empathy and understanding to you in therapy, knowing that you are the expert of your unique story. Many people ask me why I want to become a therapist at this stage in my life. My answer is that I believe it's never too late to live your best life by improving your relationships and learning about yourself. Life isn't easy, but it can get easier. My lifelong desire has been to use my experience and education to help others on their journey.
