Whether it be relationship and intimacy challenges, affair recovery, depression, anxiety, ADHD and more, I’d love to join you on your path to growth and change, helping you find the right tools to use on your way.

What I Specialize In

I specialize in couples therapy and individual therapy with teens and adults for challenges such as trauma, depression/anxiety, intimacy issues, affair recovery, and ADHD. I utilize techniques like EMDR, the Gottman Method, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory and Restoration Therapy to help you meet your goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a Portland native and in our free time, my husband and our family enjoy travelling, going to shows & playing board games.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • EMDR External link

When something traumatic happens our feelings and thoughts get mixed up, like jumbled pages torn from a book. We carry those mixed up thoughts, images, sounds, feelings, and emotions with us, stuffed away. When something reminds us of those memories it’s as though it is happening again right now. EMDR helps the brain file away those mixed up images, sounds, feelings, thoughts, and emotions in a calm form, as a memory from the past without all the emotional distress.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

In working with couples, I utilize the Gottman Method, a well-researched approach to relationship counseling. This method is rooted in decades of empirical research, identifying specific behaviors and communication patterns that contribute to relationship success. This therapy offers practical tools and interventions to enhance communication, build intimacy, and manage conflicts effectively.

  • Child or Adolescent Issues External link

Building a trusting and empathetic relationship with my teenage clients is at the core of my approach. I believe in creating a safe space where teens feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions without judgment. Understanding the complexities of adolescence, I tailor my therapeutic techniques to address issues such as identity exploration, peer relationships, academic stress, and emotional regulation.

  • Anxiety External link

I approach each client with empathy and a deep understanding of the debilitating impact that anxiety and panic can have on one's life. Through evidence-based therapeutic modalities, I work collaboratively with my clients to explore the roots of their anxiety, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience.
