My Ideal Client

I love working with a wide range of clients, but we may be an especially good fit if you are struggling with anxiety, relationship issues or past trauma. I love helping people better connect to the wisdom of their bodies and the wise voice inside them that already knows how to heal. I also love working with highly sensitive clients and helping them to regulate their nervous systems and be able to see their sensitivity as a strength.

My Background and Approach

I'm an anti-oppressive relational therapist and bring that lens into all of my work with clients. I take a personalized, collaborative approach to healing work. I prioritize creating a strong relationship with clients with safety and trust. I am trained in EMDR and Internal Family Systems Theory informed, and draw on somatic mind- body techniques in my work with clients. I use attachment theory to explore relational wounds and use a strengths based approach to build on your existing coping strategies. I am a former sexual assault advocate, and university Director for the Center for Gender Equity. I have 10 years of experience working with survivors of trauma, and draw on this background to help you have healthier relationships with yourself and others.

My Values as a Therapist

I have a background in community organizing and am passionate about social justice. My practice strives to be anti-oppressive, queer and trans affirming, neuro-affirming, and trauma- informed. I'm a queer therapist and passionate about supporting the LGBTQ+ community, . I believe that individual healing creates ripples in the world, and that a more equitable and just world is possible starting by healing ourselves.
