Do you struggle with anxiety that can be quite debilitating and that persists despite your daily efforts to manage it? Depression that drags you down and prevents you from enjoying your life fully? The impact of unresolved trauma making it difficult for you to respond to events in your life successfully? I create a gentle and safe space through a nurturing therapeutic relationship to support the growth of emerging adults so that they may lead expansive, fulfilling lives.

My Approach to Helping

My mission is to provide quality mental health services to emerging adults ages 18-40 through treating anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual identity concerns, and relational difficulties. We will work together to alleviate symptoms, help you learn to let go of outdated coping strategies (substance use, numbing or disordered eating) to help you meet your goals. I practice Gestalt therapy in a warm and supportive environment, where I will help you gain insight into past patterns of behavior that are no longer useful, help you uncover barriers that are holding you back, develop new ways of coping, and build on existing strengths.

What sets me apart from other practitioners is that I specialize in the unique challenges of emerging adults and I am introducing Gestalt therapy to a younger population. Most people seek me out for my experience in working with young adults and because they seek a counselor who they feel can understand them and their individual concerns. I provide a new, different approach that you may have never tried before. I have experience working with all gender identities and racial backgrounds. I strive to honor your unique experience and I work to hold space to help you understand how your specific set of life experiences has informed your way of being in the world.

    I have studied Gestalt Therapy with a mentor for the past four years, building on my already expansive knowledge of psychodynamic psychotherapy. I’ve been amazed at what a powerful method of therapy Gestalt therapy is and the transformational effects it has in my clients’ lives. It draws on some principles of Buddhist psychology and mindfulness which I find valuable for increasing one’s ability to be present in their life.
