My Ideal Client

Are you struggling with your day-to-day? Feeling the impacts of systemic oppression? Are you navigating loss? Are you doing any or all of this as a queer, trans, or neurodivergent person? If you answered yes to any of those questions, I have a hunch we'll be a good fit for one another. In our work together, we'll focus on creating a safe, trusting, open relationship with one another. I use a highly relational approach in my work, because this is where the healing happens!

My Approach to Helping

In our work together, we'll focus on creating a safe, trusting, open relationship with one another. I use a highly relational approach in my work, because this is where the healing happens! I work from a compassionate, anti-oppressive, and evidence-based approach, recognizing that you are the expert in your own experience. We'll utilize techniques from a range of therapeutic methods like AEDP, Polyvagal Theory, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and DBT. Therapy with me is a place where all emotions are welcome. We’ll explore tough feelings and memories, but we’ll also likely share some laughs along the way! Life is complex, and I’m here to support you as we navigate it together.

Why I Became a Therapist

I’ve worked with adults across all stages of life, and I truly believe there’s always room to grow and learn more about yourself! In my own history, I've navigated anxiety, depression, grief, sexuality, gender, and PTSD. One of the most supportive forces in my own healing and learning has been working with compassionate, warm, understanding therapists. (Shout out to all the amazing therapists I've had!) I entered this career field in the hopes that I could help others the way that I've received help, but I've stayed because this work of human connection and healing is so deeply beautiful and meaningful. This is a hard time to be a person, in a world that's already hard! If you need a therapist who understands that, and will support you without telling you to "logic your way out of it", then I might be your gal/they :)
