My Ideal Client

I have experience working with Trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, disability, relationship issues, boundaries, attachment, codependency, identity development, and much more. I enjoy working with neurodivergent and LBGTQIA+ folks, as well as couples who are working to liberate themselves from patriarchal roles and relationship patterns. I am committed to ongoing anti-racism and anti-oppression work, and bring a complex understanding of my own intersections of privilege and oppression.

My Background and Approach

Prior to becoming a therapist, I completed a BA in Global Anthropology from University of the Pacific in 2014. My studies encompassed various aspects of culture and the human experience, which continues to inform my worldview and my understanding of human nature. In 2022, I completed a MS in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, which focused on the disability experience from a biopsychosocial perspective. I use an integrated multicultural, anti-oppression, feminist, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach that draws from Gestalt therapy, Jungian psychology, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal theory, somatics, and mindfulness. I also draw personally from various sources of wisdom and creativity, including astrology, Quantum theory, art and poetry, ancestry, breath and movement, plant medicine, and the Chakra system.

My Values as a Therapist

We will all die someday - and yet, we often forget to live while we are alive. We are all born into circumstances beyond our control, and many of us do not get what we need in the crucial years of development. We find beautifully creative ways to adapt in service of our survival, only to become unconsciously stuck in rigid postures and patterns that keep us defended, reactive, and deeply unsatisfied as we move through the ever-changing conditions of our lives. In our work together, I can help you to increase your awareness of these patterns, review the scripts you've been given, and increase your capacity for agency and choice as you learn to listen more deeply to your own voice. In our work together, I will help you to honor your body is a historical record keeper, a deep source of wisdom, and a vessel for transcendence. I look forward to supporting you in living a life of meaning.
