My Ideal Client

For many young people, the journey to understand and navigate intense emotions can be both challenging and transformative. When anxiety, panic, or overwhelm disrupts your day, this space offers a refuge for reflection, healing, and growth. You can develop a deeper connection to your body and emotional self, integrating different aspects of your experience. Every step toward embodiment is celebrated as a move toward greater balance, clarity, and authenticity.

My Approach to Helping

Your emotional journey is uniquely yours, and I honor the creative coping strategies that have brought you this far. I’m not here to erase what’s helped you survive; instead, I offer new tools to navigate the complexities of your experience. While talking can be powerful, sometimes words aren’t enough. In our sessions, we blend talk therapy with experiential and somatic techniques—whether that’s writing, art, movement, or guided visualizations—to help you tap into your body’s wisdom. Rooted in Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Parts Work, and Attachment Theory, my approach is trauma-informed and holistic, drawing on my background in psychology, massage therapy, and Buddhist studies. Together, we’ll explore new pathways toward clarity, balance, and authenticity.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Ever since I was young, I’ve been driven to help others heal, inspired by the impacts of intergenerational trauma. I studied psychology in high school and college, later training in massage therapy to explore the mind-body connection. My journey led me to the University of the West—a Buddhist graduate school—where I deepened my understanding of mindfulness, spirituality, and faith. As a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I integrate Somatic Experiencing and Parts Work to help you forge healthier connections with yourself and others. I proudly support LGBTQ+ communities and stand for inclusivity, social justice, and authentic self-expression. I’m dedicated to empowering young adults, especially women, to overcome self-doubt and emotional overwhelm and embrace a life of balance, clarity, and genuine connection.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

In 2024, I completed the Somatic Experiencing certification, a three-year process with consultations and personal sessions. Somatic Experiencing is a body-focused therapy that helps release trauma stored in the body. By tuning into physical sensations, you learn to regulate your nervous system, reduce stress responses, and restore balance, fostering resilience and overall well-being.

  • EMDR External link

I became a certified in EMDR therapist in 2020. EMDR is a trauma-focused approach that uses bilateral stimulation—like eye movements—to help reprocess traumatic memories, reducing their emotional charge and promoting healing.

  • Attachment Theory External link

I've done extensive self-study and completed several programs, including the Attachment & Trauma Mastery Program with Diane Poole Heller, Somatic Trauma Healing Step-by-Step with Abi Blakeslee, and a course on Internal Family Systems Therapy focused on Attachment. These experiences have provided me with a deep, nuanced understanding of attachment patterns, equipping me to help clients foster healthier relationships and secure self-connections.
