My Ideal Client

You may be feeling weighed down by life’s transitions, searching for a space to unpack your emotions and be truly seen. Perhaps stress, anxiety, depression, or identity challenges are affecting you. Or maybe you feel disconnected from yourself and others. You could be questioning your worth, facing societal pressures around body image, career, or emotional expectations. What you truly seek is empowerment, connection, and self-acceptance.

My Approach to Helping

My approach is integrative, combining therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to meet your unique needs. I’m committed to creating a nurturing space where you feel truly heard and valued. Together, we’ll explore your emotions, identify your strengths, and address the challenges you’re facing. I believe in the healing power of understanding and connection, and I’m passionate about helping you embrace your growth and potential. Our sessions will be a place where your experiences are honored, allowing us to dive into your thoughts, examine the beliefs shaping your self-view, and develop the skills you need to live more fully. Whether you’re managing anxiety, facing societal pressures around body image, or exploring your identity, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Let’s work together to help you feel more connected, confident, and capable of navigating whatever life brings your way.

Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because I understand firsthand the impact of life’s challenges and the importance of having support during difficult times. During my own transitions, I often wished for someone to help me navigate my emotions, which led me to study psychology. I discovered that understanding emotions and the ways we connect with others can bring profound change. I believe in the power of therapeutic connection. I’m passionate about providing a supportive environment where you can freely explore your experiences and challenges. Each person’s path is different, and I’m committed to helping you find what feels right for you. I’m here to help you reconnect with your strengths and embrace your personal growth. My treatment approach aligns best with clients who seek support for anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, identity development and exploration, disordered eating, trauma, and attachment wounds.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) External link

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help you break free from negative thought patterns that fuel anxiety, stress, depression, body image struggles, and other mental health concerns. You may find that your thoughts often spiral, making it hard to manage emotions or feel at ease with yourself and your life. With CBT, we’ll work together to identify the thoughts and behaviors that are keeping you stuck. You’ll learn tools to challenge these thoughts, shift your mindset, and develop healthier habits.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) External link

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed to help you manage overwhelming emotions and navigate life's challenges with more ease. If you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, disordered eating, or body image issues, DBT provides practical tools to help you build emotional resilience and improve your relationships with yourself and others. In our sessions, you'll learn how to regulate your emotions, practice mindfulness, and develop healthy coping strategies.

  • Motivational Interviewing External link

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a collaborative, client-centered approach that empowers you to make meaningful changes in your life. MI helps you tap into your own motivations and strengths to overcome challenges. In our sessions, we’ll work together to explore your goals and any ambivalence you might feel about change. You’ll discover your internal drive and build confidence to make decisions that align with your values and desires. Get started today by scheduling an appointment with me.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Anxiety External link

Anxiety can make you feel stuck in a cycle of worry, fear, or constant overthinking. You might feel on edge, like your mind is always racing or that you're waiting for something to go wrong. It can leave you feeling drained and disconnected from the things you care about. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Together, we’ll explore the roots of your anxiety and develop strategies to help you regain a sense of calm and control. Schedule an appointment with me to start living with more ease.

  • Body Image Issues External link

If you’re struggling with body image, you might feel disconnected from yourself or uncomfortable in your skin. Societal pressures, personal experiences, and self-criticism can make it difficult to see yourself with compassion. You might be preoccupied with your appearance, constantly comparing yourself to others, or feeling overwhelmed by the expectations placed on you. I’m here to help you challenge limiting thoughts, reconnect with your body in a healthy way, and cultivate self-acceptance.

  • Eating Disorder External link

If you’re struggling with disordered eating, it can feel like food and body image have taken over your thoughts. You may find yourself battling unhealthy eating patterns or feeling controlled by guilt and shame after eating. Together, we’ll explore the emotions and beliefs driving your relationship with food and work to build healthier patterns. I’m here to help you find balance, heal your relationship with your body, and rediscover a sense of peace and freedom around eating.

  • Depression External link

Depression can make you feel isolated, drained, and stuck in a fog of sadness or numbness. You might find it hard to get through the day, losing interest in the things you once enjoyed. It can feel like you’re carrying an invisible weight that no one else sees, and it’s hard to know where to turn. We can work together to explore the underlying feelings contributing to your depression and help you reconnect with yourself and your life. Get started by scheduling an appointment with me today.

  • PTSD External link

PTSD can leave you feeling trapped by memories, flashbacks, and intense emotions from past events. You might find yourself reliving traumatic events, struggling with anxiety, or feeling detached from those around you. It can be exhausting and isolating, making it hard to find peace or move forward. In our work together, we’ll focus on understanding and addressing the impact of your trauma. I’m here to help you process your experiences, develop coping strategies, and regain a sense of control.
