My Ideal Client

I specialize in anxiety, self-esteem, men's issues and faith. I work with those who may feel overwhelmed by the pressures of daily life, struggling with self-worth, or seeking to reconcile their spiritual beliefs with their personal experiences and the unique challenges men face today. I serve individuals who are dealing with anxiety and looking for strategies to manage their stress and fears effectively, experience low self-esteem and are eager to build confidence and a positive self-image

My Approach to Helping

Therapy takes courage and honesty. My goal is to facilitate and help navigate the specific and unique obstacles you are presented with. I want to share the right tools and skills that will help you navigate future dilemmas. I am here to help how I can, and have specific focus on depression, anxiety, and self-esteem problems. I believe that healing is a holistic process that involves the mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, uncover the root causes of your struggles, and develop practical strategies for overcoming them.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

While not helping others in therapy, I enjoy reading, talking with friends and family, 3d printing, trying new foods, cooking with my wife, and keeping up with my children’s zest for life. I love trying new things and bettering my relationship with failure. I am more than the skills and usefulness I provide to my relationships and I'm allowed to grow and learn because the only thing where you start on top is digging a hole.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) External link

I've used Acceptance and Commitment Therapy since I started practicing and have studied it for years. I love its therapeutic approach that helps individuals embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or feeling overwhelmed by them.

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) External link

I've used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy since I started practicing and have studied it for a decade. I use it because it is an evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors to foster positive change.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Anxiety External link

I employ evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which has been proven highly effective in treating anxiety. CBT helps clients identify and challenge irrational fears and thought patterns, replacing them with healthier and more balanced perspectives. Additionally, I incorporate mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help clients develop coping strategies for managing anxiety symptoms in their daily lives.

  • Men's Issues External link

As a father, husband, brother, and son I know there are many expectations life can throw at you and see the pressure that can create.

  • Self-Esteem External link

I have successfully helped many clients identify and challenge negative self-beliefs, develop healthier self-perceptions, and build confidence. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and alter unhelpful thinking patterns.

  • Spirituality External link

My expertise in spirituality is rooted in both personal experience and professional training, allowing me to guide clients in integrating their spiritual beliefs into their healing journey. My schooling was at a Christian university and allowed me to study more deeply the literature on spirituality's impact on our lives.
