Why I Became a Therapist

After years of helping youth and families, I realized there were so many times that I wished I knew more so I could be better equipped to help those I served to walk through what they were facing. I decided to attend George Fox University and it was there I confirmed that Marriage and Family Therapy was where I was supposed to be. I am Restoration Therapy focused which means I help individuals, couples, and families to identify the pain cycles in their lives, move those to peace, and help to restore love and trust. My husband and I are Marriage and Family Pastors at our church and we are on a mission to help couples have the best marriage they can. We discovered the "secret" for us is open communication, regular check-ins, date nights, marriage retreats, dreaming together, forgiveness, and laughing a ton together. We have 3 children all under the age of 6 who keep us on our toes and who are the light of our life.
