My Ideal Client

I work with individuals and families who want to explore the impact of their histories, identities, and relationships on their present lives. My ideal clients are curious about how their bodies, minds, and stories intertwine, and are open to using somatic practices, intergenerational reflection, or even nature-based sessions. I especially support those navigating grief, rage, or complex identities, and who long to feel more at home in themselves.

My Approach to Helping

I believe therapy is the process of coming home to ourselves. I support clients by weaving together somatic awareness, intergenerational exploration, and relational insight. I ask challenging questions, offer validation for deep emotions such as sorrow and rage, and reflect back the innate strengths I see in my clients. My role is not to “fix” but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your body, untangle the influences of the past, and build nourishing ties to others. I work in a collaborative, gentle, and sometimes playful way, honoring that healing is both deeply personal and co-created. I offer sessions in-person, virtually, and outdoors, where nature can be a partner in the therapeutic process. I am drawn to intergenerational and somatic perspectives because they remind us that our bodies and stories hold wisdom across time.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe our sense of self is shaped both within us and in relationship to others. The work of therapy is to rediscover trust in our inner knowing while staying connected to supportive, nourishing relationships. Personally, I value being in nature, where movement and breath restore balance. I enjoy exploring creative practices and contemplative spaces that deepen connection to myself and the world around me. I welcome people of all identities and experiences and hold a strong commitment to inclusion, compassion, and respect. I am a forager, permaculturist, herbalist and community builder. I live for potlucks with my pals and long days bird watching at the river. When I’m not outside slowing down whomever I’m hiking with by identifying plants, I am conducting research on the therapeutic potentials of bonding with the nonhuman world. I also have been known to dance and talk late into the night with my people.
