My Ideal Client

As a trained ecotherapist and AHTA Registered Horticultural Therapist (HTR), I specialize in helping adolescents and adults, age 13+, navigate life’s challenges by fostering deeper connections to themselves, others, and the natural world. Whether you're facing anxiety, trauma, ecogrief, life transitions, or seeking a deeper experience of meaning and personal growth, I offer compassionate and evidence-based support that is tailored to you.

My Approach to Helping

Depending on your unique circumstances and needs, sessions may be offered through an online, in-office, walk-and-talk, or hybrid format. Whether taking a walk together, working with plants and soil indoors or virtually, or drawing on lessons from nature in conversation and mindfulness, my work centers the proven benefits of connection with the natural world. Why Nature? Research shows that connecting with nature, both indoors and outdoors, can help reduce cognitive overload, improve mood, and foster a sense of balance and well-being. Engaging with our natural environment has been found to minimize stress, increase emotional resilience, and create a deeper sense of connection to oneself and the world. Whether our sessions involve taking a walk together outside, working with plants and soil indoors or virtually, or drawing on lessons from nature in conversation and mindfulness, my work centers the proven benefits of connection with the natural world.

My Values as a Therapist

I approach therapy with a commitment to social justice and a deep respect for your lived experiences. My practice is an affirming and inclusive space where we can explore how factors like sexuality, gender identity, race, culture, ability, and systemic inequities shape your story and impact your life. Together, we can work to unpack the ways that external systems and internalized messages influence your well-being, while empowering you to draw on your resilience and address the growth you desire.

As a certified Ecotherapist and AHTA-accredited Horticultural Therapist (HTR), nature is my co-facilitator in the therapeutic process. Whether we're getting our hands in the soil, caring for plants, or drawing on nature’s lessons in conversation and mindfulness, building our relationship to the natural world can help us feel grounded within Earth’s broader ecosystems, thereby fostering a deeper sense of connection, belonging, meaning, and acceptance in the context of life's natural rhythms.
