My Ideal Client

For many years I've specialized in supporting highly sensitive, creative and spiritually oriented people. In recent years I've realized the overlap between these very positive traits, and neurodivergence, so more recently I've expanded my practice to also focus on people with adhd, autistic and bipolar neurotypes. Throughout my career I've been supporting people with C-PTSD (chronic trauma symptoms) from family trauma.

My Background and Approach

My approach is deeply informed by Buddhism and Jungian psychology. As I listen to clients I am listening for the core feelings they are expressing and the images that are arising, whether in their dreams or waking life. By reflecting back the feelings and images I hear, I can support them in understanding the journey they're on, what's at stake for them, and how they can act on their own behalf and advocate for themselves in relationships.

Why I Became a Therapist

As a neurodivergent (autistic) person myself, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate this world as a highly-sensitive, open-hearted person who may experience things differently from the people around you. My central inspiration as a therapist is to help people listen more deeply to and trust their own experiences. We are not all the same, and generic advice cannot help you for your own way forward. You need to trust your own organism. That's where you'll find the most trustworthy guidance. My job as a therapist is to help you do that.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Contemplative External link

Contemplative therapy focuses on authentic presence, deep listening and empathy. I show up, make space for you to explore your experience, and share my own genuine responses. Basically, I cultivate an authentic relationship with you, where you have space to listen to your own experience.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Autism External link

I have specialized for several years in working with clients with Autistic neurotypes. As an autistic mental health practitioner, I bring a unique understanding of the challenges autistic people face in navigating an allistic society.
